Washing Instructions
Each Item is One of a Kind!
Small variances in color, shape, or size is a characteristic of a hand made item, not a flaw! If you believe there is an actual defect in your item, please reach out to us to make it right!
Washing Instructions for Clothing
To keep your Kustom Item looking its best, we recommend garments be turned INSIDE OUT before washing on a permanent press or delicate cycle, and dried using low heat.
Many of our embellishments are attached by a heat activated adhesive, and excess heat may cause them to release.
Items decorated with rhinestones and glitter do best when washed separately, inside out, on a permanent press cycle and hung dry. Rubbing on the inside of washing machines, and against other items of clothing will shorten the life span of the applied embellishments.
Some manufactured dyed items may bleed into the wash the first several times they are washed.
Please wash with care, or separately.
Washing Instructions for DTF (Direct to Film)
Do you have a really cool full color design? Likely we have printed that using DTF. We recommend garments be turned INSIDE OUT before washing on a permanent press or delicate cycle, and dried using low heat. Items that have LARGE filled in print areas may wrinkle if left in the dryer beyond the end of the cycle. DO NOT IRON!

Washing Instructions for Chenille Letters
Although "permanently attached", chenille letters are applied with an adhesive that is much less aggressive than some of our other embellishments.
For this reason, we recommend garments always be turned INSIDE OUT before washing on a permanent press or delicate cycle, and HANG TO DRY.
Rubbing on the inside of washing machines, and against other items of clothing may cause the edges of letters to lift slightly. If this happens, you can iron the INSIDE of the garment where the letter has been applied with a dry iron on a medium setting. DO NOT iron the front of the chenille letters, as the glitter can easily burn and melt.
Washing Instructions for Glassware, Tumblers, and Acrylic Items
We recommend HAND WASHING only for all of our glassware, tumblers, and acrylic items, regardless of decoration type. Soaking should be avoided.
Laser engraved, Powder-coated stainless tumblers may crack and peel if put into the dishwasher. This is not a flaw in our workmanship, but a result of breeching the finish when we laser items.
Even if there is manufacturer printing to the contrary, items are NOT dishwasher safe.
Sublimated mugs and tumblers should not be put in the dishwasher as some washers high heat/sanitation settings are hot enough to cause the image to re-gas and fade.
Washing Instructions for Cutting Boards
Cutting boards are HAND WASH only. DO NOT submerse them in water.
We recommend oiling wooden boards monthly to keep them from drying out and cracking.
Washing Instructions for Bags & Purses
Most of our backpacks, everyday bags, and purses are surface wash with a damp cloth only. Items that have been embroidered generally can be washed on gentle and hung to dry. We DO NOT recommend any full water submersion washing for anything that has been printed or contains any leather patches.
